Abstract :In less than 20 years, technology has evolved in such an accelerated pace, creating the base for a new world. A world where the digital and the physical come together. A world where Information Technology is powering every industry, every discipline, every company, every city, every country. A world where every device becomes not only connected by smart. A world where fundamentals of human being, ethics, society, politics are being shaken. At the same time, the planet is challenged by fundamental issues such as environment, water, energy, food, disease, poverty and more. Yet, the opportunities to address these challenges has never been easier thanks to these technology advances. In this talk, we will explore the technology disruption, its impact on society. We will explore Morocco’s opportunities to tap into these technology disruptions to address its core challenges and opportunities related to energy, agriculture, health, environment and more.
Biography

- Nasser Kettani, a graduate from French Orsay University, in Computer Engineering and Cognitive Science, is an Information Technology Expert with more than 30 years of experience in the IT and software industry working for leading IT companies. He is founder and managing director of Kettani Digital Consulting. Before starting his own consulting practice, Nasser Kettani spent over 12 years at Microsoft corporation in various positions including Chief Technology Officer for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) in charge of industrial and government relations advancing ICT Policies, Regulations, Norms and Standards Nasser Kettani advises private and public-sector institutions through their Digital Transformation journey as they assess the impact of major technology shifts on their business and as they build digital transformation roadmaps, policies, frameworks and regulations that allow them to make the best out of these major ICT developments. Nasser’s areas of expertise spans amongst other things, Innovation, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Accessibility, Interoperability, e-Government, Smart-Cities, e-Education, Internet Governance, … Nasser was the Rapporteur of the ITU-D Study Group on the “Access to Cloud Computing for Developing Countries”. Nasser has an extensive experience on the development of International Standards; he has authored many articles and a best-selling book on Software Design and Modeling “De Merise à UML”. He was lecturer on Software development best practices at Dauphine University, Paris France and delivered hundreds of lectures at ICT conferences around the globe.
